AS Summer Term Task
Your task
In a group, plan, film and edit a short film.
Why you’re doing this
Next year, almost 30% of your grade will come from your production. By completing this mini film project you will learn how to use the cameras, transfer your footage to the editing system, edit it and produce it. You will also learn what not to do.
The requirements:
- Exactly 1 minute in length
- Your film must include an exchange of something
- It must use music somewhere
- It must have titles
- It must have at least one spoken part
- Must include a close up, a mid-shot, a long shot, a tracking shot.
- Must include some continuity editing
You must hand in your film by the final week of term.
Time
You must attend all timetabled lessons, but during many of those lessons you will be able to work on the film. You should also get into the habit of working outside of lessons on the film; otherwise you won’t finish on time! Also remember you need to book the eMacs in advance – they are available through the day and after school until about 5.00pm.
